What are Course Reserves and how do I get that material?

Answer

Course Reserves are materials that have been selected by faculty for their students to use for a short time and can be checked out at the Circulation Desk. When asking for an item, please tell the attendant at the circulation desk the course ID (ie e.g.- BCM 325) and the item's title

To find a list of all items on reserve:

  • From the library catalog select “Course Reserves.”
  • Select the course ID and course name.
  • From the list provided, locate the item you need
  • Record the call number (ie. - BCM325 Pilgrim at Tinker Creek)
  • Bring this to the Circulation Desk

Most reserved items have a checkout period of two hours. Overdue items will accrue a fine of $0.50 per hour, including overnight hours. Please return them promptly as your classmates will also need them.
