How long does it take for a book to arrive via interlibrary loan?

Answer

A book that is requested using the Interlibrary Loan Book Request Form generally takes 7-10 days to arrive, but can potentially take longer depending on the lending library. These books are coming from libraries across the U.S., and usually at media mail rates (the least expensive way to mail books!). Therefore, if possible, make sure to leave plenty of time when requesting books for your research. If you do need something quickly, you can always request it and indicate that it is a rush in the comments section of the form. We can’t guarantee it will arrive quickly, but we can try!
