How long does it take for a journal article to arrive via interlibrary loan?

Answer

An article that is requested using the Interlibrary Loan Article Request Form generally arrives within 1-3 days. Sometimes they come much faster (within a few hours) and other times it can take much longer. This is dependent on how widely available the journal is among our lenders. Once a lender is found, the article is delivered to the Interlibrary Loan Coordinator, who then forwards it along to you via email in the form of a PDF.
